How Liquid Smile Works

Liquid Smile has a unique gel formula that incorporates 12% hydrogen peroxide, the most powerful paint-on formulation on the market.

Hydrogen Peroxide is the primary ingredient that whitens teeth. Peroxide comes in two forms for whitening: hydrogen peroxide and carbarride peroxide. Both forms will whiten your teeth, but hydrogen peroxide is a much more effective whitening agent.

In early whitening, science had not found a way to stabilize hydrogen peroxide in gel form. As a result, carbamide peroxide, also called Urea Peroxide, must first break down into urea & hydrogen peroxide. Then the hydrogen peroxide will break down into activated O2 and water. This activated O2 molecule whitens teeth by removing stain molecules.

Many take-home tray based whitening products still use carbamide peroxide with increased exposure time and many sensitivity issues.

Hydrogen Peroxide is 4X faster than Carbamide Peroxide
