Dr. Dean Johnston

Plastic Surgeon / Owner

My name is Dr. Dean Johnston. I am an Orlando-based plastic surgeon specializing in cosmetic medicine and surgery for men and women. I provide a full-range of surgical procedures, including facial rejuvenation, eyelid surgery, liposuction, breast enhancement and reconstruction. I also offer non-invasive procedures that provide quick, safe and satisfying results for people looking to reverse the signs of aging.

I love helping my patients to look younger, to be more attractive and to feel better about themselves. If you want your outside to reflect the beautiful person you are on the inside. I can make your dream a reality.

I blend the skill and precision of a surgeon with the critical eye of an artist and I use high-tech advances to achieve the best results. Most importantly, I am a board-certified Plastic Surgeon by the American Board of Plastic Surgery with more than 20 years of experience, so I know exactly how to respond to any medical situation to ensure your safety.

I am a native Floridian. Born and raised in Orlando, a Boone High School graduate, and comes from a long line of Healthcare professionals. My father and brother are distinguished surgeons and my mother, two sisters and my wife are Registered Nurses. Medicine has long been my calling and given me fulfillment in helping others. I consider myself to be particularly fortunate to have my wife, Kathy work along side me as my nurse and Practice Concierge.

Kathy

Practice Manager and Nurse

Kathy received her RN degree from North Central Technical College of Nursing in Mansfield, Ohio. She has been a registered nurse for 25 years. Although her background is in Critical Care Nursing she now specializes in Plastic Surgery Nursing. Behind the scenes she is the one who smoothes out the challenges' of each patients surgery so that it is convenient & safe.

Her nursing allows her to address your questions with quality information. Her compassion and caring puts patients at ease with their decision. "Choosing to have surgery is a whole different ballgame than having to have it. You have to feel comfortable with your decision, your Surgeon, and the staff," she always says.

Nurse till 5, Wife after 5, Kathy and the Doctor share more than their love of Plastic Surgery.

Vicki

Esthetician/Medical Assistant

Vicki is a native of the Boston area of Massachusetts. After graduating from high school, she attended Bryant College in Rhode Island, receiving her degree in Business Administration. In her spare time she enjoys spending quality tiime with her teenage daughter who will be graduating High School, and attending College in 2011. Vicki is a licensed Esthetician, having graduated from the Florida College of Natural Health. She graduated as the top student in her class and received the college's prestigious Academic Excellence Award as recognition of her stellar performance. Her determination and accomplishments in the academic arena area a reflection of her lifelong dedication to personal health, diet, exercise, skin care and engaging others in her enthusiasm for overall well being. Her success in contributing to the skin health of others is an extension of her own success in utilizing the highest quality products in concert with the highest level of esthetic regiment and professional care. Her education, personal experience, and success enables her to cater to each patient's unique needs and position in the journey that is lasting esthetic health. Vicki also loves friend, family and frequent beach get-aways.

Melissa Hopkins

Receptionist/Insurance

I have had the pleasure of working for Dr. Johnston for a total of 7 years. Having been with the practice from 2001-2007, I took a 2 year hiatus to get married, have my daughter and enjoy some time being a stay-at-home Mom. I returned to the practice in January of this year and am so happy to be welcomed back by this wonderful team of caring individuals. I have a management background, having graduated from UCF with Business Management degree, and am here to help in any way I can. Great customer service is the key to any successful business and Dr. Johnston and his staff go above and beyond to make that happen on a daily basis and I am proud to be a part of such a great team. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and just enjoying each day to the fullest.

Danielle

Receptionist/Communication Specialist

Danielle is a native of the Greater Orlando area. Upon graduating high school with a full scholarship, she moved to the Jacksonville area to complete her College education at the University of North Florida. She holds a bachelor's degree in International Business and marketing. Additionally, she has chosen to pursue an alternative career in nursing. Danielle anticipates completing her BSN and achieving her RN licensure by 2013. Danielle's motivated, professional, enthusiastic, and creative personality contributes a great deal to our practice. She uses her vast knowledge attained from her undergraduate degree to provide our office with new means of communication through social media and other popular web communities, as well as, assisting in our event planning and promotions. In addition, she enjoys making every patient feel they have received the very best experience from our office. Finally, she enjoys running long distance, cycling and spending time with family and friends.

Misty Cozart-Alden

Medical Assistant

Misty Cozart-Alden is a native of Beckley, WV where she began her medical career as a surgical assistant for an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice. Following her love for the medical field, she worked with the Medical Director of Plastic Surgery for Nashville, TX for four years. Misty is a nationally Certified Phlebotomist, a Medical Assistant and has a degree in Broadcast Communications from CSB in Orlando. Misty is a member of the Eagles Society and is currently working on her applied science degree at Southern Technical College at Sanford. Her Education combined with hands-on skills, and personal experience enables her to relate to her patients allowing her to provide the highest standard of care. When Misty isn’t providing total care to the patients of Dr. Dean Johnston, she enjoys spending time with her 12 year-old son, Chayse, and enjoying the Florida beaches.
